Shootzu is an exciting start-up in the photography and videography space, based in Melbourne, Australia. It assists in building a trusted crew (second shooters, solo shooters, editors, assistants, and more) by helping photographers and videographers network and assist each other on projects.
It is industry-specific and only professional businesses with a valid company number are accepted after a comprehensive verification process.
Once accepted, members can post jobs with their proposed payments for local photographers and videographers to choose from.
The company was looking for a development partner to transform their existing platform by improving its current features, adding new features, and enhancing user experience, to launch the platform services outside Australia (the U.S. and New Zealand).
After understanding the client’s requirements and objectives, we developed the following solution:
A thorough audit of the existing platform was performed, bugs were identified, and performance impediments were resolved
The payment process was rewritten to facilitate payment in different currencies in different countries
Off-platform payment feature was added to increase the traction of the platform in new markets
UI was redesigned to enhance performance and user experience
With the help of Jellyfish Technologies, Shootzu launched its platform in the U.S. and New Zealand as per the schedule. Improved performance and user experience helped them in gaining traction in new countries while giving them the confidence to plan new features and enhancements to take it to new frontiers.
